PassionArt has been working with Manchester Cathedral since 2014 and during Lent 2015 we curated a reflective art installation and arts event based on the story of The Good Thief.
A stunning lifesize oil painting by local artist Louis Smith was installed in the Regimental Chapel. This was accompanied by reflections, and a creative arts evening event at the Cathedral on Tuesday 24th March after Evensong. The evening included an interview with the artist, a contemporary interpretive dance by Jake Roberts, an improvised musical response from Epiphany and a poetry reading. Canon Dr David Holgate gave a moving theological reflection on the art work and the biblical narrative.
